Milhouse

We are Milhouse! Milhouse is an "Art Metal" band from Galax, VA.
Most of our influences are bands like Alien Ant Farm and Incubus.
Milhouse was formed in 1999 under the name PointBlank. Consisting of
three of its original five members.

Then, we gained a few and lost a few of the original
members of the band therefore we decided on a change of name.
After a while of thinking of names, we found Smooth Jimmy Apollo.
We all thought it was a great band name. Smooth Jimmy Apollo
is a Simpson’s extra. (If you haven’t noticed we are all huge Simpson’s fans)
Smooth Jimmy Apollo only appeared in one or two episodes.
After having that band name for a while. We decided that it needed
a change again. Now, Smooth Jimmy Apollo is the name of our independent
record label. SJA Records for short.

The band Milhouse (another Simpon's name) started sometime in 2001, minus
our newest DJ, Chris Rector and guitarist Clinton Surratt. Chris
was like one of our boys in the very beginning; he came to our practices and
told us what sounded good and what didn't. So after we found
out about his scritchity scratchity skills on the turntables,
he was in. We have recently found a new guitarist,
Clinton Surratt so now Jed doesn't have to sing and play the guitar
at the same time. Most of the songs that we play are written
by us. Jed usually writes most of the guitar parts and lyrics
while the rest of us fill in some ideas.
We also play a few covers that fit our category of music.
Milhouse has expanded itself musically. What started out 3 years ago has
greatly grown and matured. Milhouse is quickly becoming one of the bands
that you just have to see to fully understand what we're about.
